We ended the evening at a lake which is part of the Bhavnagar coastal wetlands system. There were abundant wildfowl on the water and waders at the edges, but like bulls in china shops, our coach loads of crowd steamed in and soon saw them off. The highlights for me were the elegant River Terns, Great Thick-knee and a flock of about 30 Small Pratincoles which were destined to be flushed before we got anything like very good views.
