Black-necked Grebe, Baston and Langtoft Pits, S Lincs
Back in July 2012, Josh Jones found a Black-necked Grebe on a pit on the corner of Baston Outgang Road and Cross Road at BLGP. These days, this pit is now more of a lake with a few islands and gets called the T-junction pit (as opposed to the 'wader pit' across the road to the east, which didn't exist at all in 2012). And once again, Josh has found a Black-necked Grebe there. This juvenile.
It is my second local BnG in the Peterborough area this year after a breeding-plumaged bird at March Farmers on the Nene Washes (Cambs) a few months ago when the whole Nene Washes complex was flooded.
