I found a couple of spectacular, fully hooded adult Little Gulls on my cycle home through FM last night (on OVerton Lake). They were insecting with a swarm of 30-40 Common Terns. One had a peculiar nip out of one of its wings as if it had narrowly escaped being munched by a predator. Note the raft like structure is a floating nest platform for Common terns and the birds in the background are Common Terns..
