As a fellow skateboarder and birder in my mid-30's (getting on a bit now) I hope your son keeps up his skateboarding skills (he could start to learn front-side kick turns on the ramps next) and maybe takes an interest in your birding too. Many a conversation has been had with my skateboarding friends about birds, mainly them asking me what such and such bird might have been that they've seen recently and goes to show both activities can be pursued and occasionally at the same time depending on skatepark location.
