I just found your blog when I googled for Lantern Fly. This is amazing! May I ask- I believe you are based in the U.S.--do you mind telling me--What state? I'm in Michigan. How did you ever find and photograph the Lantern Fly? I've only seen one in my life, in Venezuela, years ago, but never saw one with its wings spread. Anita.
Hello Anita I'm based in the UK, in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, which is the east of England. The lantern fly turned up while we were eating at the lodge at Surama in Guyana. It flew in and landed on our table. It is the only one I have seen, too. Glad you like the blog. Please keep visiting!

Hello Anita
