We haggled (or rather our driver Mahendra haggled) for a boat trip around the shallow stonewort filled water ways of Nalsarovar and eventually had a nice punt around. The highlight for me was seeing White-tailed Plover. There were a few other things out there, too.

Demoiselle Cranes

Demoiselle Cranes Nalsarovar, Gujarat, India by Weedons World
Perhaps the greatest spectacle we witnessed in Gujarat was the wonderful gathering of 5,000-10,000 Demoiselle Cranes at Nalsarovar. Later I will post one or two videos. In the mean time, enjoy the photos and the racket (I couldn't shut the people up!)...

Jungle Cat

Probably my favourite wildlife encounter in my time in India was with this Jungle Cat at Nalsarovar. This was my first ever wild feline!

Sneaky...

Where do you think you are sneaking to my stripy, tufted-eared, feline friend?
