Here, once again, is the traditional state of my personal PBC (Peterborough Bird Club area) year list summary, as of the end March (2023).
The early part of this sensational year produced some amazing 'elites', including Red-throated and Great Northern Divers, American Wigeon, Green-winged Teal, Long-tailed Duck, and best of all, Velvet Scoter. Waders included Bar-tailed Godwit, 27 Knot and more than 20 Turnstones (the floods at Cowbit and Crowland Washes helping). I even managed to sneak in a Yellow Wagtial on the second to last day of March.
