Tyto Wetlands birds and mammals
Yungaburra area
Spotted Harrier
Grey-headed Robins
A lot of the Australasian robins we saw habitually cling sideways on tree trunks. The endemic Grey-headed was a classic example. Odd innit?
Australian Brush-turkey
Scrubwren species (not sure if Atherton or Large-billed or something in between?)
This is a fungus which looks like paint (I forget its name)
Between Jabiru and Rose Gums we met up with the unbelievably knowledgable Alan Gillanders (of Alan's Wildlife Tours) at the Platypus Viewing Platform and explored the area, seeing such wonderful birds as the Golden Bowerbird near the bower.
