Broad-bodied Chaser, Four-spotted Chaser and Large Red Damselflies

Lovely pics of the dragonflies and damseflies. Has the dragonfly in the second pic just emerged from the exuvia attached to the leaf? Linda

Absolutely (and the exuvia is now in my collection!). This is the first Four-spotted Chaser to have emerged from our pond and a real surprise, as I had only previously seen one of this species visiting the pond, and that was a brief visit when the pond was brand new.
