Lockdown Diary: Monday 13.7.20

Not much going on in the garden today, with a Speckled Wood butterfly being the best of the action. Also, there was a Banded General soldier fly flying slowly around the pond (which is now hard to look in owing to the extent of the duckweed!). As I have said before, we do very well for this particular type of yellow-and black banded, wasp-like soldier flies, with their long grey larvae being very common in the water of the pond.
