Slavonian Grebe, Crowland

This is just fourth time in 16 years I have seen Slavonian Grebe in the Peterborough area. It was found on the channel of the River Welland along what is known as the Deeping High Bank, not far from Crowland, Lincolnshire. In these shots it was a few hundred yards upstream of the bridge with the white water tower where Shaggy the Shag roosted a few months back. It wasn't particularly bothered by humans, but Great Crested Grebes made it very jittery.
