This week is Barwit week in the PBC area. My earliest ever was on 20.4.13 (my previous earliest was 21.4.03). So, it was v pleasing if not totally surprising to find one at March Farmers, Nene Washes, Cambs, last night (21.4.16) with Will Bowell, as the sun set. Here are some ropey digiscoped record shots (should've had my 'big boy's camera'...).

Interesting to note how the bills look dark-tipped. Once upon a time, the dark bill tip (of Common Tern) was one of the key features that distinguished Common from Arctic Terns. Clearly just not true.
